About Dr. Tolosa

Argentine-American pianist Dr. Gustavo Tolosa resides in Dallas, Texas, where he enjoys organizing collaborative concerts with other musicians, artists, writers, dancers and actors. He understands that audiences appreciate the opportunity to listen with "guided ears" and he works to create powerful connections between the performer and the audience.

Dr. Tolosa holds a Doctorate in Music and Piano Performance from the renowned Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He is in constant demand as a performer, teacher, master class presenter and competition adjudicator across the United States and South America. He performs an average of fifteen concerts per year as a soloist, chamber music pianist and inter-disciplinary collaborator. He has performed with orchestras in Argentina and the U.S. and particularly enjoys performing with his mother, pianist Raquel Rigotti-Tolosa.

Dr. Tolosa believes that music education is an essential part in the lives of all children, especially for at-risk children who are hospitalized with life-threatening illnesses. It has been Dr. Tolosa's life-long dream to create "musical hospitals" where children make music and learn to play an instrument while they regain their physical health.
